The Best 10 Spring Ideas To Freshen Up Your Home
Get the best 10 Spring Ideas To Freshen Up Your Home. There is something about spring that is like a new beginning so fresh and rejuvenating. A time to refresh and bring some color into the house.
I have been slowly getting the rest of my spring decor out now that Easter is over and I need to put the bunnies all away.
There are so many ways you can decorate for spring that are simple, easy, and economical. We need to know about Spring Ideas.
Here are my Top Ten Spring Ideas
1. Change out your throw pillows
This is the easiest change I make, bring out the big box of pillow covers and choose light and airy colors for Spring. I prefer to change out the cover versus changing out the entire pillow, as pillow covers are a lot easier to store than a big pillow.
However, I do understand the temptation of Home Goods pillows. You can buy pillow covers on Amazon, Ikea, Potterybarn, and Etsy. If you happen to live in LA, you can visit my favorite spot Rodeo Home Fabrics downtown Los Angeles where they have 5 pillow covers for $10.00 in the back.
These bright golden yellow pillows are sure to bring spring into your home
Or these pretty blue and green pillows
And don’t you just love these black and tan pillows, so dreamy!
And my favorite green pillows this year!
2. Change out your throw blankets
Put away the fur and heavy blankets and bring out the lightweight throws for spring like this pretty neutral farmhouse throw or something with a pop of color.
Or this crisp Turkish blue and white blanket
Or this fun mustard yellow throw for a pop of color ( this is my favorite color right now)
3. Add flowers, Fresh and Artificial
Of course, I love to have fresh flowers in the house as much as possible, so when the garden is in bloom, I cut and arrange flowers several times a week. To buy fresh flowers can get expensive, so I like to mix in some artificial flowers along with the fresh, they make such amazing silk flowers these days you can hardly tell the difference.
Some of my favorite places to purchase silk flowers are Hobby Lobby, Amazon, and Moskatels.
4. Add Greenery
Greenery is another way to bring spring into your home, It just feels so good to bring the outside in.
You can use faux green plants or living green plants that are meant to be indoors, just don’t forget to water them like me, haha!
Here is a list of the 10 best living house plants.
- Monstera deliciosa or “Swiss cheese plant”
- Epipremnum aureum or Devil’s Ivy
- Dracaena Massangeana or Mass Cane.
- Spathiphyllum or Peace Lily.
- Bromeliad.
- Sansevieria or Mother-in-law’s Tongue.
- Zanzibar Gem.
- Anthurium Andraeanum.
I also love faux fiddle fig trees, they add great color to a room.
And these two plants are perfect to fill a corner or to place on top of books.
5. Update your bedding for Spring
This is one of my favorites, I love to change my bed up for spring, bring in lighter colors and lighten up on the blankets when you sleep.
Isn’t this blue and white bedding dreamy! The perfect look for springtime.
6. Freshen up your outdoor spaces
For us, this is always a big deal, time to clean the outdoor furniture and bring the cushions out of the attic. I also spend a few days preparing the yard with fresh flowers in the pots and the best fertilizing, so we have a lovely garden all summer long.
You may need one of these fabulous buckets for your gardening, this is the one item, I truly cant live without!
7. Change out your dining table linens
Add some color to your table with some new place mats or a table runner, add some fresh dishes and you are ready for guests at anytime.

Move things around on your coffee tables, side tables, countertops, and your bookshelves. Use what you have in different ways. Maybe move things from one room to another.
9. Change out your candles
There is nothing to me that makes a home feel more welcoming is a fabulous candle. My favorite brand is La Jolie Muse, they have a fragrance like no others. For spring I love their Saldalwood & Patchouli, it truly smells heavenly!
10. Add a pop of color
Color can make your home feel so alive. It can be as simple as a pillow, but this small change will make your eye feel like spring has sprung. Something as simple as a colorful throw can make all the difference in the world.
