Hi, I’m Wendy

I am passionate about my family, friends, and my wonderful home! Our home is a place to gather, build memories, and celebrate life’s journey. For me, there is a special joy in designing a space that comforts and inspires. A place that is perfect for entertaining a large party or enjoying a quiet evening on our own.

I’ve always been a creative type. Whether decorating, gardening, or cooking, I love bringing beautiful elements together to create something unique. I guess it’s in my blood. As a young child in rural Pennsylvania, I would go “foraging” in the woods with my mother and grandmother for natural treasures we could use for decorating and cooking. My mother was a floral designer, so we always had fresh-cut flowers from the garden around the house. But she did much more to create a warm and inviting home atmosphere. She loved baking, and I can still remember coming home to the aroma of freshly-baked cookies. While they may seem like small things, they indeed were not. What she did had a profound impact on me.

She inspired me to follow my dreams of a life in design. I’ve designed handbags and seasonal gift programs for major retailers for many years. It’s a career that has taken me worldwide, searching for beautiful and unique design elements. Now, as I take the time to enjoy our wonderful granddaughters and playful springer spaniels, I’ve enjoyed inviting others to share my vision for a more beautiful home life.

I hope you find inspiration and encouragement here.

Meet My Husband David…

I have to tell you a secret………. I may make everything look good, but this guy makes everything taste good! David is an amazing cook, and we have so much fun in the kitchen together, I am the taster, sous chef, and occasionally the dishwasher 🙂

Since David retired, and I continue to work, he became the chef in the house, and I am very well-fed.

We have been married for over 37 years, raised 4 children, and we now have 4 grandchildren. We share many of the same interests such as pickle ball, bike riding, attending church, traveling, and dining out and truly love doing life together.

David and I also love to entertain, we collaborate together to create a true experience for our guests. I create the atmosphere, set the tables, and decorate, and David whips up an amazing meal. We worked together this past summer and created a fantastic pop-up restaurant right in our own backyard.

David also has an amazing sense of humor, and I am sure you will enjoy it when he pops in to collaborate with me as he is sure to make you laugh.

Where it all began

When I walked into our house for the first time, I fell in love with the home’s charm and character. Built-in 1898, every detail of the home was filled with nostalgia and craftsmanship; From that moment on, I used my love for decorating, gardening, and creating a welcoming atmosphere to bring life to our home. We’ve since enjoyed many wonderful years spent indoors by the fireplace or outside tending to the garden. It’s genuinely been a sanctuary for myself and my family – a place where we can all come together regardless of what is happening in the outside world.
