Simple Vintage Easter Decorating Ideas for Spring
Spring has arrived early for us this year. I couldn’t wait to start decorating using some of my favorite simple vintage Easter decorating ideas.
Since I will be hosting Easter, I want our home to feel fresh and inviting. Soft pastel colors, fresh and faux flowers, and meaningful vintage pieces always help create that feeling. I love decorating for Easter in a way that feels simple and natural.
Let me take you on a simple spring tour through our home.

Decorating the Kitchen Table with Simple Vintage Easter Style

This year my inspiration started with a set of vintage floral napkins I thrifted. Their soft pastel colors and sweet pattern immediately set the tone for the entire table.

For the centerpiece, I used a woven basket filled with fresh plants and flowers. I love the relaxed look a basket brings, especially in spring when everything starts to feel green and alive again. Nestled into the arrangement is a charming vintage bunny holding a head of cabbage. It adds just the right amount of playful Easter character without feeling overly themed.

Around the centerpiece, I layered simple white dinner plates with vintage pink glass salad plates and my favorite cabbage bowls. This mix of textures helps the table feel collected and thoughtful. To add height, I used large egg crates as plate chargers. It’s an easy and unexpected detail that ties beautifully into the Easter theme.

Throughout the table, I tucked in old-fashioned paper eggs and sweet paper-mâché rabbits decorated with sheet music. Some eggs sit inside larger moss-filled paper eggs, while others rest in small blue baskets. These simple seasonal touches help the table feel festive in a soft and understated way.

Altogether, the layers of vintage linens, glassware, greenery, and collected Easter pieces create a table that feels welcoming and ready for spring gatherings.
Simple Vintage Easter Decorating in the Kitchen
The kitchen is the heart of our home and the place where friends and family gather most often. That’s why I love adding simple vintage Easter decorating touches here to create a welcoming and cheerful spring atmosphere.

On the kitchen island, I created a relaxed spring vignette using my collection of antique white ironstone pitchers and a vintage swan planter filled with fresh and faux flowers and greenery.
Soft pink tulips, ranunculus, and delicate cosmo blooms bring gentle color, while ferns and trailing greens add natural texture and movement.
To continue the Easter theme, I added a mix of vintage cabbage bowls, and a larger cabbage dish filled with moss and faux carrots. These playful seasonal touches bring in charm without overwhelming the space, and a few favorite bunny figures tucked among the greenery add just the right amount of whimsy.

Along the kitchen counter, I’ve displayed several apothecary glass jars I have collected at estate sales filled with delicious candy. Grouping everyday kitchen items like cutting boards and canisters behind them helps the display feel layered rather than overly styled.
We have seven grandchildren and I have to say that they do love coming to grandma’s and getting their sweet little hands in my candy jars.

Decorating the kitchen for Easter does not have to be complicated. Using pieces you already own, adding fresh flowers, some faux greenery and incorporating a few vintage seasonal accents can instantly make the space feel ready for spring gatherings and everyday moments.
After decorating the kitchen, I continued adding simple vintage Easter touches into the family room.
Vintage Easter Decorating in the Family Room

In the family room, I continued my simple vintage Easter decorating with a fresh, natural look on the mantel. I layered faux florals and soft greenery across the entire space to create a relaxed spring garden feel. Cherry blossom stems, delicate ferns, and light pastel blooms help bring in that early spring feeling without looking overly styled.

To add a bit of vintage charm, I included one of my favorite wooden rabbit figures along with a vintage wooden egg stand. The egg stand holds a collection of handmade eggs that are stamped with botanical images and others I decoupaged with soft feathers.I shared how I made these botanical eggs in a recent Easter craft post. These special pieces feel meaningful and collected, which is always what I love most when decorating for the seasons.

I kept the overall palette very light and organic so the mantel would feel calm and welcoming rather than busy. A simple neutral throw draped along one side softens the look and helps everything feel pulled together. Small nests, trailing greenery, and a few layered textures make the whole arrangement feel natural and effortless.
A Soft Easter Vignette on the Coffee Table

On the coffee table, I created a smaller Easter vignette using a vintage wooden tray as the base. A white ironstone pitcher filled with flowering dogwood branches that add height and helps echo the soft spring look from the mantel. I tucked in a sweet bunny figure, pastel eggs in a handmade vintage inspired Easter baseket , and a woven candle holder to add warmth and texture.
I love how this simple arrangement brings a touch of Easter into the room without feeling overdone. Using a mix of vintage pieces and natural elements helps everything feel easy and collected — which is always my goal when decorating our home for the seasons.
Simple Vintage Easter Decorating in the Front Parlor
Our home was built in 1898, and I always love thinking about how families once used each space. Traditionally, the men gathered in one room while the women visited together in the parlor. Today, this front room is still a quiet and cozy place to sit and relax, so I wanted to keep the Easter decorating here very simple and meaningful.

On this vintage industrial factory cart that I use as a coffee table, I created an easy spring vignette next to my stack of coffee table books that live here year round.
I started with a large woven basket tray as the foundation. Inside the basket, I layered a mix of soft greenery and faux lavender to bring in gentle color and texture while keeping the overall look simple and natural.. Nestled among the greenery is one of my favorite vintage bunny rabbits that I found while antiquing in Kansas City and carefully carried home with me.
I love how he just barely peeks over the top of the basket.
To add a bit of height and balance, I included a small terra-cotta pot filled with lavender with a few vintage plates tucked into the tray.

Decorating smaller spaces like a parlor or sitting room is a wonderful way to carry seasonal touches throughout the home. Even just a few vintage pieces, soft florals, and natural textures can help create a warm and welcoming spring atmosphere.
Simple Vintage Easter Shelf Styling Ideas
I also love adding small touches of simple vintage Easter decorating to the shelves around our home. Shelf styling is such an easy way to bring in seasonal charm without having to completely redecorate a space.

In my breakfast room, I had styled a deep blue shelving unit using a mix of vintage books, ironstone bowls, small potted ferns for Spring.
With Easter around the corner, I just simply added a few seasonal pieces like Easter eggs, rabbits and some peat pots I had embellished into Easter decorations.
I like to layer items at different heights so the shelves feel relaxed and natural rather than perfectly arranged. A few painted eggs tucked into vintage egg cartons, along with soft greenery and neutral pottery, help create a gentle spring look that feels both fresh and timeless.

One of my favorite details is using everyday vintage pieces in unexpected ways. A large mixing bowl becomes the perfect nest for moss, and paper mach’e eggs, while old spools, small lamps, glass jars and vitage Easter bunnies add warmth and texture. I always try to mix useful objects with seasonal decor so the shelves feel thoughtful and natural.
Clean and Simple Easter Shelf Styling

On the white built-in shelves beside the fireplace in our family room, I kept the styling very light and simple. Stacked vintage books topped with egg cartons, small animal figures, and a few botanical touches help bring in the feeling of spring without overwhelming the space. A twig handle on a peat pot creates an Easter basket which holds a vintage paper rabbit and a few feathers to add a soft focal point, while small potted plants and layered frames help everything feel collected over time.

Decorating shelves for Easter doesn’t have to be complicated. Using pieces you already have and love, adding a few natural textures, and tucking in meaningful vintage finds is often all it takes to create a look that feels welcoming and ready for the season.
A Welcoming Vintage Easter Entry
In the entry, I kept the decorating very simple, allowing just a few special pieces to set a cheerful spring tone as you walk into our home. A pair of weathered vintage iron urns filled with layered greenery and ornamental cabbage bring in that early spring garden feeling while adding beautiful height and texture.

Nearby, a moss-covered egg tree filled with soft blue and white eggs adds a playful Easter touch. I love how this piece brings in color while still feeling natural and relaxed. Together, these small vintage-inspired accents help create a warm and inviting first impression without overwhelming the space.
I always love seeing guests smile when they notice these little seasonal touches as they walk through the door.
Tips for Simple Vintage Easter Decorating
- If you love decorating for Easter with a vintage feel, keep the look relaxed and natural. Start by using pieces you already own, such as baskets, ironstone, books, or glass jars. Then layer in seasonal touches like moss, pastel eggs, faux greenery, or fresh spring flowers.
- Try repeating similar colors and textures from room to room. This helps your home feel pulled together without looking overly styled. Mixing old and new pieces also adds character and keeps the decorating feeling personal.
- Most importantly, decorate in a way that feels meaningful to you. A few thoughtful vintage touches can often create more impact than filling a space with too many seasonal items.
