Spring Fireplace Mantel Ideas in the Family Room
If there’s one thing you should know about me, it’s that I love spending time in my garden and puttering around in my She Shed.
But if the garden isn’t quite ready for you to enjoy just yet, why not bring a little bit of that beauty inside?
If you’re looking for spring mantel decor ideas, one of my favorites is the one I created in our family room. I mixed natural elements, airy neutrals, and colorful fresh flowers to bring a cheerful touch to the space.

My custom garden sign is the perfect statement piece and serves as a beautiful backdrop for garden-inspired spring mantel decorations.
For this spring fireplace decor, I put together a DIY floral display using a 6-in-wide wooden fence board as the base. Then I covered it with soft Spanish moss and layered in a mix of greenery and flowers to bring a fresh, natural touch to the the room.
For the greenery I used salix, ferns, and other spring foliage, and to finish, I added several aged clay flowerpots, fresh spring flowers, and a rustic birdhouse.
How to Recreate the Look

What I love most about this fresh spring mantel idea is that works well with many different styles of homes. Whether you are looking for modern spring fireplace mantel ideas or prefer a rustic, vintage farmhouse style, you can’t go wrong with a garden theme.
And don’t be afraid to make it your own. You can hang a spring mantel garland or add other decorations like Easter eggs, bunnies, or bird nests.

My spring mantel decorations were inspired by the blue and white decor I love year-round. It’s classic, effortless, and perfect for spring.

These colors pair beautifully with cheerful shades of yellow or pink, adding the perfect pop of color for the season.
