Sharing from the She-shed Volume 14
Welcome to Saturday’s sharing from the She Shed. I always aim to provide inspiration, creativity, and new ideas for your home and garden. In this weekly post, I share all the happenings at WM Design House and a bit of behind-the-scenes.
What’s happening at WM Design House
Happy Saturday, I can’t believe it is Saturday again already! where does the time go? It was a very cold and rainy week here in So Cal. This past week would have been my mom’s 87th birthday. I miss her so much. I am not sure the hole in my heart will ever fully heal. She was such a bright light in our family’s life. There is just something special about a mother-daughter relationship.
I found myself reminiscing and thinking about how much life has changed in the four years since she passed. I adore this picture of her, my daughter Meghan and my first two granddaughters, Madison and Mckinley. Since this picture was taken four years ago, we have added three more little ones to our family, two dogs, and learned to navigate life without our beloved Mimi, who lived with us for 15 years.
Cherish those you love as time goes by so quickly.
Fun fact about me
Did you know I love animals?
I mean, I really love animals, all kinds…
As a child, I belonged to the 4H club, raised chickens and rabbits, and had numerous dogs and cats.
I was that child who brought all the hurt and lost animals home.
God bless my parents. They always embraced my love for animals. My dad built chicken coops and rabbit hutches, and my mom drove me to the county fair to show my chickens. Can you envision this one? lol
We have two Springer Spaniels, Mollie (a mommy’s girl on the left) and Murphy, the black-and-white one. We also have a very old sweet kitty Bentley who is almost twenty years old. These four-legged children bring so much joy to our lives. I could not imagine a life without pets.
What’s New
We have continued to make progress in the cutting garden. The fence is just about finished. It just needs one more coat of paint. The sprinklers are in the beds; It is almost time to plant.
My granddaughters and I started seeds in the house this week. It is so fun to see their enthusiasm for gardening. I can’t wait to share this experience with them.
Check out my new printable for what I will plant in my flower beds. (You will need the password to get in. It is WMFREE).
Keep checking back, as I will be adding new graphics and lists regularly for you to enjoy.
The Homecrafted Society is back this week.
We will post a new blog on Tuesday, so prepare for some Easter egg inspiration. Wait until you see what I have made with these blue eggs.
