This and That from the She shed…..

It has been another busy couple of weeks here at WM Design house. I always seem to have so many projects going simultaneously, and I suppose that is how I thrive. I try to get this post done weekly, but it doesn’t always happen.

Did you know we have four granddaughters and a new baby coming in January?

I don’t know how the years go by so fast, but our grandkids seem to be growing up way too fast. Madison (on the left) is our oldest granddaughter, who is seven and quite the ballerina starring in the Nutcracker this year. Sweet McKinley just turned six this week and is loving the first grade. We had a one-on-one sleepover, and McKinley chose her favorite Mac and Cheese for dinner. Of course, of all the choices out there, she chooses Kraft! LOL. We later ventured to Baskin Robbins for some birthday ice cream.

A young girl wearing a yellow dress with white flowers stands in a grocery store aisle, holding a boxed toy and colorful polka-dotted packages. Behind her, shelves stocked with macaroni and cheese evoke memories of The She Shed. She is smiling at the camera.

We are getting closer to finding out what the new baby will be

Our Floridian kids will arrive next Wednesday for the first time in three years. We cannot wait. Then on Thursday, our Texan kids will come with their little sweet Gabby Grace. Need I say, my mama’s heart is exploding with excitement, and I can’t wait to have them all home simultaneously.

It will be a night full of fun, laughter, and good food. The whole family is coming together for this occasion, so it’ll feel extra special!

A flat-lay photo featuring a pair of white baby shoes, a striped baby blanket, a circular wooden sign reading "Baby McMonigle arriving January 2023," wooden beads, and three ultrasound images. Another wooden tag quotes "For this child we have prayed" with a Bible reference, all set in The She Shed.
A baby sits on a bedspread featuring blue and white designs, wearing a mint green shirt with a rainbow graphic, black leggings with rainbow patterns, and a white headband. The She Shed's cozy decor adds to the charming scene as the baby smiles up at the camera.

My Birthday Celebration Continued

I had the time of my life with these fantastic women last week. First, we took a boat ride around Newport Harbor, driven by this handsome guy. And then visited Roger’s Gardens in Orange County, where we enjoyed perfect weather under cloud cover!

If you happen to live in or around Orange County, California, and have not been to Rogers Gardens, you need to add this to your bucket list. It is a beautiful place to shop, dine or wander and enjoy the scenery and the magnificent plants.

The She Shed Happenings

It was a great week in the she shed. In case you missed it on my Instagram Live. I painted a plastic pumpkin using baking soda, which sure looks realistic. Can you tell this pumpkin is not real?

. You can watch the full tutorial on the pumpkin here.

And this past Tuesday, I wrote an entire post on four different methods of creating these beautiful pumpkins out of Dollar Store pumpkins. You won’t believe I used flour, cinnamon, and baking soda for this project.

My Favorite Blog Posts from The She Shed

On that happy note, let me share some of my favorite friends on the web this week. I am always so amazed at the talent out there. So, please sit back and take it all in.

Meet Rachel from @thepondsfarmhouse. Rachel’s post always takes my breath away. I adore her style.

A cozy fall scene in The She shed features a wicker basket overflowing with autumn leaves, orange pumpkins, and gourds. The table is adorned with a brown woven table runner, amber glass bottles with dried flowers, and a tall orange candle. In the background, a window frame and autumn decor add to the charm.

Meet Tammy @whitelilacfarms. I adore this beautiful mud room she remodeled and this sweet garland she created using my favorite, gold foil.

A cozy, rustic autumn decor scene inside The She Shed features a wood leaf garland hanging on a green paneled wall. The garland boasts wooden beads and dried leaf-shaped pieces. Beside it, a striped cloth hangs, and a straw hat is mounted on the wall. Text reads "How To Make A Wood Leaf Garland For Fall.

Doesn’t this look delicious? If you do not know Anita from @ajoyfulordinarylife, you are in for a treat as she is quite the chef and a delightful person.

A quick lunch for unexpected guests

A rectangular tart topped with cherry tomatoes, goat cheese, and basil leaves sits on a rustic white board on a blue-patterned table runner in The She Shed. Behind it, there is a white bowl filled with lemons and a lit white candle on a small blue-and-white ceramic holder.

And incase you are wondering where I got my inspiration for my living room, check this out! Meet Karianne @thistlewoodfarms. She is one fantastic lady and will keep you smiling all day long.

A large abstract painting hangs above the fireplace, and built-in shelves with decor are in the background, creating a perfect She shed vibe.

Meet Jennifer @cottageonbunkerhill. She is one crafty woman who saved this vase from being in the dump.
