The Best Iced Mocha Macchiato Recipe: Starbucks Copycat

I have the best Iced Mocha Macchiato recipe for you today!

The temperatures are high outside and I still need to be in the garden, and nothing is more refreshing than a tall glass of iced coffee.

Starbucks introduced the Iced Coconut Milk Mocha Macchiato in July of 2016. It was the company’s first iced espresso beverage that featured coconut milk.

The Iced Coconut Milk Mocha Macchiato was a success, and it quickly became one of Starbucks’ most popular drinks. The beverage was praised for its delicious flavor and its dairy-free and vegan options. It was also seen as a refreshing and innovative take on the classic Mocha Macchiato.

I’ve always been a coffee lover, but I’ve also been on a quest to find drinks that are lower in calories.

How I grew to love Coconut Milk Mocha Macchiato

A few years ago, I was at Starbucks and I saw the Iced Coconut Milk Mocha Macchiato on the menu. I was intrigued by the fact that it was made with coconut milk, which is a lower-calorie option than dairy milk. I decided to give it a try, and I was hooked!

The Iced Coconut Milk Mocha Macchiato has a rich, chocolatey flavor that is balanced by the sweetness of the coconut milk. It’s also refreshing and satisfying, which makes it the perfect drink for a hot summer day. Plus, it’s only about 210 calories, which is a lot lower than many other coffee drinks.

I’ve been ordering the Iced Coconut Milk Mocha Macchiato ever since I first tried it. It’s my go-to drink when I’m looking for something delicious and satisfying that won’t break the calorie bank. I’m so glad I discovered this drink, and I know it will be a favorite of mine for years to come.

How to save money on coffee drinks

However, it can get expensive to go to Starbucks for a daily coffee splurge, so I decided to create my own verison of this drink at home.

In addition, we recently bought a Breville espresso machine, so I was determined to figure out the recipe with just a few simple ingredients.

Don’t tell Starbucks, but I have figured it out.

So let me share this great recipe with you.

  • Add ice to your glass.
  • Drizzle chocolate sauce into the glass and over the ice.

What does a Mocha Macchiato taste like?

A Mocha Macchiato with coconut milk is a delicious and refreshing drink that combines the rich flavor of espresso with the sweetness of coconut milk and chocolate.

The first sip is a bit of a surprise, as the coconut milk is creamier and thicker than dairy milk, but it quickly melts into the coffee and chocolate flavors. The aftertaste is slightly sweet and nutty, with a hint of caramel.

And one of the best parts is that this drink is a dairy-free coffee drink.

Variations on the iced Mocha Macchiato recipe

  • White chocolate Mocha Macchiato: Use white mocha sauce instead of regular mocha syrup.
  • Caramel Macchiato: Omit the mocha syrup and add a tablespoon of caramel sauce.
  • Salted Caramel Macchiato: Add a pinch of salt to the caramel sauce.
  • Pumpkin Spice Macchiato: Use pumpkin spice syrup instead of mocha syrup.

  • To make a vegan Mocha Macchiato, use your favorite plant-based milk.
  • Use sugar-free mocha syrup and caramel sauce to make a keto mocha macchiato.
  • Use fresh, cold milk. This will help to create a smooth texture for this delicious coffee drink.

Alternatives to coconut milk for the Mocha Macchiato recipe

In recent years creamy coconut milk has become a healthy alternative to whole milk. But don’t worry if you’re not a coconut lover. You’re still in luck because the different mocha and caramel sauces manage to diminish any coconut taste.

You can also choose to use an alternative milk like almond milk, oat milk or soy milk.

No matter how you customize it, an iced Mocha Macchiato is a delicious and refreshing coffee drink perfect for any occasion. So next time you crave a Starbucks Mocha Macchiato, try making your own at home with this easy recipe!
