Saturday Sharing from the She-Shed Volume 38

I am always thrilled about Saturday mornings.

We are away again celebrating my husband’s birthday! As much as I love to go, I am ready to stay home for the holidays. We are in Northern California and the temperatures are in the high 30’s… Burrrr, but it sure feels good. I am ready for winter.

Being a blogger at this time of the year is always a challenge. We are finishing Halloween and preparing for Thanksgiving and Christmas all at the same time.

You would get a kick out of my house right now. It’s both Christmas and Thanksgiving in the house and Halloween outside.

It looks a bit like this!

What’s Happening in the Garden

Even though I have not given the garden my full attention lately, she is giving me her best.

The dahlias keep blooming, and the zinnias are about to wrap it up their season. I was out in the garden yesterday harvesting my zinnia seeds. I will be sharing a post on exactly how to do that soon.

Last Weeks Adventures

I took a little day trip to the flower market. It is always so inspiring. Get a load of this cute guy! You, too, could have him on your front porch for only $2241.98 (such a random price). But pink is still on trend for Christmas this year. Are you in favor of pink for the holidays? It is beautiful to look at it, but it would not fit very well in my home.

I know my daughter-in-law is going pink this year. I can’t wait to see what she does.

Christmas Tree Inspiration

There is always much to see at the flower mart, including beautifully decorated Christmas trees. Here are just a few I saw this week. I will be sure to capture a few more on my next visit.

What is your style for Christmas?

Do you prefer the traditional Christmas colors or something more neutral? I love to change things up every year. Last year I was all about the red and blue.

Hmmm… what direction shall I go this year? Natural, Traditional, Eclectic?

I guess you will have to wait and see.

Creative Christmas Pajama Party Ideas for Your Grandkids

One of my favorite Holiday traditions is our pajama parties with our grandchildren. We all wear matching pajama sets, decorate sugar cookies with mountains of frosting and sprinkles, make Christmas decorations, and then snuggle up to watch movies and read stories. When bedtime comes around, we have a “campout” on the family room floor, lit only by…
