Passing the afternoon on a beautiful front porch is one of life’s little pleasures. Today I am sharing with 8 of my blogging friend all about porches and amazing porch designs.

For centuries, porches have served as an outdoor living room where families could retire and spend time together at the end of a long day. At one time, porch sitting was viewed as a social status. Although mainly a casual activity today, porch life is a lifestyle to be taken seriously by some.

You all know how much I love to hang out on my front porch, swing, sip, read a magazine, or chat with a friend. It is one of my favorite places to be.

I enjoy just listening to the sounds of mother nature, the birds singing, and the squirrels running ( from the dogs, of course) and admiring the flowers in the garden.

Stacy’s real love is for gardening, but she sure does a fantastic job decorating. Stacy has been an avid gardener for over 20 years. Much of what she has learned by trial and error.
