Saturday Sharing from the She-shed Volume 24

Happy Saturday!

Here we are again! Saturday morning sharing from the She- shed. We were in Temecula this week. We had so much fun.

It was my girlfriend Janet’s 60th birthday, and we celebrated in style.

Temecula is a fairly local wine country, about 90 minutes from our home.

We went wine tasting, shopping, had a massage, and took a 5-mile walk.

We ate the largest cinnamon roll I have ever seen. It was 8″ square and so yummy.

We visited three wineries and were served this beautiful charcuterie tray at our last stop.

The weather was amazing, and the views were spectacular from the vineyards.

Upon returning home, we arrived to find a delivery of peonies from our four children and their spouses. That is so sweet of them. Unfortunately, this is the one flower I cannot grow in Southern California. (and they know I love peonies) So thankfully, my dear friend Sarah from SCC flower farms ships them all the way from Minnesota each year. Thank you, Meghan, Taylor, Tay, Matt, Trenton, Dillon, and Sydney.

Exciting news from the garden!

The dahlias have begun to bloom, and the ranunculus are at their peak.

I will be tieing the dahlias to their stakes this weekend.

The Holllyhock and Delphiniums are also well on their way.

The garden will fully bloom in just a few short weeks, and I can’t wait to create some stunning floral arrangements with the fresh blooms.

What’s New Next Week

I started intermittent fasting this week, and so far, so good. Have you ever tried it?

I am only eating between 11 am and 7 pm. I have to admit. Those hours go by very quickly, and my tummy does a lot of growling.

I’ve embarked on a journey towards better health. I began my regimen of intermittent fasting last Sunday, and so far I’m pleased with my progress.

I must admit, the morning black coffee is a bit rough. But I am getting used to it.

I prefer lots of frothy cream in my coffee.

We are also gearing up to have three of our granddaughters for 4 days next week, so I am trying to get ahead of the game.

Once the girls leave we are then going to visit our son in Florida to celebrate the twin’s 30th birthday. I honestly do not know how our youngest children can be 30 already.
