New Year, New Look, Same Me!

Happy New Year, friends!

I hope you all had a fabulous Holiday and New Years’ celebration with your family and friends.

Our son and his family were here, and we loved having them and their daughter for the holidays. In addition, we had our daughter, her family, and one of our twin boys.

Refresh after Christmas

Once they all left, I was on a mission to get all of the Christmas decorations put away. That was quite the job, but I am happy to report that everything has been put away. And we are slowly getting the house back to normal. I reworked the mantle and updated the shelves to reflect my winter garden theme.

On New Year’s Eve, we had dinner with friends. It was so lovely to have that extra day. We volunteered on Sunday night at a local church to create bouquets with the leftover flowers from the rose floats. After the parade, we delivered the flowers to the local nursing homes and hospitals. I do not doubt that the patients are enjoying the flowers. We are so grateful to Phoenix Floats for donating these leftover flowers.

We love New Year’s celebrations here in Pasadena with the Rose Parade and the Rose Bowl football game. If you have never been, it is one for your bucket list.

Waking up at 5 am is no small feat ( especially for me), but I did it! It was an incredible experience to get close-up pictures of these beautiful floats. They are truly stunning in person to see. Each float is covered with flowers, flower petals, ground flower seeds, beans, fruit, and vegetables.

My New Look

I’m so proud to be able to share my newest venture with you all! After spending some time crafting and refining behind the scenes, I have officially launched a brand new website featuring an eye-catching logo and exciting color palette. It’s been such a rewarding journey designing this – join me as we explore together!

It’s got a modern look with detailed tabs for easier access. You’ll find everything you need quickly and easily – plus extra details on topics that interest you.

My new site also includes an updated blog with fresh posts added bi-weekly. I hope you will enjoy reading and staying informed about your favorite topics.

After working on this project for quite some time, I finally worked up the courage and took that first step! My incredible friend, Lynn from @livinglargeinasmallhouse, didn’t stop helping me make it a reality – she was by my side every moment these past two weeks. While web design may have been intimidating before, having experienced what goes into creating one myself has left me with a newfound admiration for web designers. It’s nearly complete now; there are just a few more tweaks to end the hard work we’ve done together!
