David and I live in a beautiful 1898 historical home in Sierra Madre, a peaceful suburb in the foothills above Los Angeles. It’s a beautiful setting and the home has all of the charm of the era.Originally the home was owned by the city’s first postmaster and tax collector back in the early 1900’s
Naturally, it was the perfect opportunity for me to put my passion to use, not only as a way to preserves its historic beauty but to continue doing the soul-soothing traditions that I grew up with. We have done many restorations to the home over the years and updated the kitchen and the bathrooms. One of my favorite spots is my she shed which was all built with old windows, doors and barn wood, this is where a lot of my creating happens. We are fortunate to have a very spacious yard where we are able to entertain and enjoy the great outdoors.
We still love all the character that the house has with its beautiful fireplaces, the moldings and amazing doors and windows.
This home has been the perfect place for us to raise our four children, and enjoy the great outdoors in its lovey yard and pool.
Now that we are empty nesters, we enjoy having our grandchildren here, entertaining and just enjoying the beautiful property.
So many beautiful memories have been made here and we look forward to making many more.
